Inspired By... Emojis

Hello everyone.  I have a card today for the Inspired by... Emojis Challenge.  This was a fun challenge to do and I'm so glad I could participate.  Without further ado here is my card.

I was inspired by the photo and sketch.  If you know me then you know I use emojis all the time especially to thank someone.  I did not own any emoji dies though but I was able to make some emojis using what I have in my craft room. YAY.

So I used a old Martha Stewart circle paper punch.  I paper punched 5 circles just like the sketch with yellow cardstock 85 pounds.  I ink blended the edges with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink and the pink cheeks with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink.  So much fun.

I cut out some faces with Lawn Fawn Make Me Smile Dies using black cardstock 85 pounds. The small hearts are from Lawn Fawn Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag Die. I used red faux Christmas glitter pattern paper from Kat Scrappiness. I found some Birthday stickers from Michaels in my stash so I used the party hat and sentiment letters and word stickers.  Everything was glued to a 4 x 5 1/4 white panel cardstock 110 pounds and then glued to a gray A2 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base 110 pounds.  I had so much fun making this card.  It makes me smile.  How about you?  I hope I inspired you to use what is in your stash.  I will be back soon with another Blog Post.

BYSHC Spring into Christmas Linky Party Day 4

Hello everyone.  It's Day 4 of the BYSHC Spring into Christmas Linky Party.  Are you having as much fun as I am?  So much wonderful inspiration and have you noticed all the Amazing sponsors?  I will have the list down below for you.

On my card for today, I used sponsors Taylored Expressions, Pink and Main, Twiddlers Nook, and Lawn Fawn.  I first started out cutting out this cute penguin from Taylored Expressions Snow Squad die and clear stamp set.  I used white and black cardstock.  I ink blended the scarf with residue ink from my red blending brush.  I stamped the eyes from the set with black ink and cut out the nose with orange cardstock.  I then put my penguin together and added some pink cheeks with my Rll copic marker.

On white cardstock I used Pink and Main for my 2 stencils.  One of the stencils is a masking stencil and the other is like a scattered stars stencil.  I think they are great.  Unfortunately both stencils are retired.  I did ink blend with Catherine Pooler Stone Blue ink.  I then applied Lawn Fawn Silver Stencil Paste over my ink blended circles.  When dried, I trimmed my background to be 4 x 5 1/4.  I glued my panel to a kraft A2 card base.  I then glued my penguin and added a Taylored Expressions sentiment strip from my stash.  I used some Wishing on Rainbow Stars embellishments from Twiddlers Nook for my background and penguins scarf.  I hope you like my card. I think it came out cute.  I hope you make some cards and link them up.

All projects must be Christmas, Hanukkah, Yuletide, wintry, etc.

We Go Together featuring Kat Scrappiness

Hello everyone.  I have a fun card to share.  Valentine cards always make me happy.  My card today features a New die set from Kat Scrappiness.  It's part of their second Release.  I hope you check out all the New products you will love them as much as I do.

I love how this card turned out.  We Go Together Puzzle Craft dies. You get 2 puzzle pieces, hearts, and 2 faces.  Such a fun die set that you need for your stash.  I believe they can be used for any occasion too.  I first started out cutting out the 2 puzzle pieces  using white cardstock.  I ink blended my puzzle pieces using Prize Ribbon Distress ink and Festive Berries Distress Oxide ink.

I also ink blended some more white cardstock with the same inks so that I could cut out the Sweet Sentiment Craft die.  I like how it looks purple to with those 2 ink colors ink blended together. It reminds me also of the 4th of July or those rocked ice cream cones.  I also cut out another Sweet Sentiment craft die with white cardstock for a little more dimension.

I also had enough of my ink blended cardstock to cut some hearts out using the same die set.  You get a variety of hearts which I love.  I cut out the 2 faces using black cardstock.  I also had some Simple Sentiments strips Valentine Edition already stamped and cut out using the coordinating die.  I cut out a white panel to be 4 x 5 1/4 and glued everything to a A2 card base.  I added my simple sentiment strip using a foam strip.  I just love this card.  Hope to send this card out.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.

BYSHC Sketch 41 Holiday Card

Hello everyone.  I have a Holiday card using the Sketch 41 by BYSHC.  It's a fun sketch and a good way to get some Holiday Cards started and finished before the Holiday Season.

Sketch 41

For my card I chose to do portrait style.  You can do that also for this sketch.  This cute image was given to me already stamped.  I colored it with my copic markers and fussy cut it out.  I cut out some circles using circle dies with red and white cardsock.  I cut out some Christmas pattern paper from my stash and cut it accordingly to the sketch.

I glued everything to a green A2 card base with liquid glue and that finishes my card.  I hope you like it and I hope you like working with sketches.  You still have time to get your card uploaded in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers FB album to win a prize.  Angie Blom Digital Designs is giving away 2 $15 e-gift certificates in Canadian currency for sketch 41.  Plus her kits are 40% off right now.

I cut my background to 4 7/8 x 7.  It's a tad bit smaller than a 5x7 card.  I used a retired word sentiment from Simon Says Stamp called Live in the Moment.  I cut it out 3 times with white cardstock. I think this stencil and be for any Occasion. Next,  I glued everything to a matching card base and adhered some sequins to match.  I hope you like it.  You can check out the New Release here.

Wishing You Comfort and Joy

Hello everyone.  I have another Holiday Coffee card for the Coffee Lovers Fall Winter Blog Hop!

I chose to use Some Simon says Stamp products for my card today.  I used this cute picture Book Mocha die and Berries and Leaves Stencil.  I first die-cut my Mocha die 3 times out of some white cardstock.  I ink blended one cup with Lumberjack Plaid Distress ink.  I ink blended the coffee portion with Ground Espresso Distress ink and the whip with Lost Shadow Distress ink.  I glued my Mocha together and I added some black cardstock to the back for the face to be black.  On white cardstock I ink blended the stencil with Lucky Clover Distress ink and I used the Lumberjack Plaid Distress ink for some berries.  I do have some excess red ink but I still liked my background to not redo it.  I also in blended the inner circle with Salvaged patina Distress ink.

I cut by background to be 5 3/8 x 5 1/2.  It's a unusual size so I will make a custom envelope for it.  I stamped a sentiment from Mama Elephant's Hot Cocoa Stamp with black ink on white cardstock.  I cut my sentiment to a flag banner.  I glued everything to a Card base and I added a holly leaf and berries ephemera to my Mocha.  Lastly, I added some red sequins and cheeks to my Mocha with a copic marker.  I hope you like my card, I had a lot of fun making it.  I will also be linking my card to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Thinking of you.

Pumpkin spice Coffee Card

Hello everyone.  I have a Fall card to share that I made for the Coffee Lovers Fall Winter Blog Hop.

I first printed this cute mouse and coffee digital image from Sweet November Stamps called Hit Coffee Mouse on white cardstock.  I believe it was a freebie on World Cardmaking Day but I missed it so I purchased it.  I loved it so much.  I I colored it in with my copic markers and drew a ground and ink blended the background with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink.  I stamped a pumpkin on my togo cup and colored it with my copic markers. I then stamped a sentiment from Catherine Pooler Stamp called Fall Calls for Lattes.

I cut out my mouse and coffee with a scalloped rectangle die.  I then grabbed some more cardstock and stamped it with a MFT Stamps Background Stamp Burlap with Catherine Pooler Apricot ink.  I cut my cardstock with a double stitched rectangle die.  I tied some orange hemp twine and made a bow.  I glued my scalloped rectangle onto it.  Everything was glued to a A2 card base.  I added some sequins to match and white gel accents with a gelly roll pen.  I hope you like my card.  It was so fun to make and I made this into a Christmas Card which I will share later.

A Halloween card

Hello everyone.  I'm back with a Halloween card using a New Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs New October Release.  Use VonFan10 to save 10% off your purchase.

I thought this stencil was so much fun and I just love circles.  This stencil is called Circle Shadow Stencil.  I chose to watercolor it and it was so relaxing.  I used White watercolor cardstock from Taylored Expressions.  I then placed my stencil over my cardstock with tape to hold it in place.  Use tape that won't rip your cardstock, ask me how I know? The paints I used are from  Prima Art Philosophy watercolor confetti set.  I used Papaya, Lime Green, Purple and Black.  Once my cardstock was dry I cut my background to 4 x 5.25.  I love how some circles are messy.

I used a fun retired Halloween Stamp from Picket Fence Studios called If The Broom Fits.  I used a black ink and stamped some of the images on my panel.I think it's fun.  And what a change since I have been making a ton of Christmas Cards.  I then glued my panel to a gray A2 card base.  I added some embelishments and that finishes my card.  I hope you like it!  I hope you grab this stencil, there is a square one too.  I made a snowman card with it, you might have noticed it.  Check out the New Release here and grab the Master Creator Bundle here

Life is Good

Hi everyone. I have a fun card today.  I have been loving the New Kat Scrappiness Farmhouse Release and I hope you have too.  I have a New card video over on the Kat Scrappiness YouTube Channel. I would love for you to watch.

I started out with white cardstock and stamped all my images from the Farmhouse Stamp with black ink using my Misti Stamping Platform.  I colored my images with copic markers and then used the coordinating Farmhouse dies to cut them out.

Next, I cut out some Farmhouse Pattern Paper.  I love the papers from the New Farmhouse Paper Pack.  I used a A2 Embossed Edge Rectangle to cut my pattern paper out.  I also cut out the Slimline Wire and Woodgrain Frame die with Kraft cardstock.  I love that it looks like chicken wire for my scene card design.  I did cut it down to fit my card.  I then stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the Farmhouse Sentiments stamp with white embossing powder on black cardstock.  I used the coordinating die to cut out my sentiment.  I also layered it on 2 more die-cuts for dimension.

I glued everything to a A2 kraft card base and I added some White Confetti Sprinkles and white gel accents with my white gel pen. My farm is popped up with foam tape for some dimension. That finishes my card.  I hope you like it.

Thank you for stopping by!
