Woodblock Wednesday for February 2024

Hello everyone. It's Woodblock Wednesday today.  I always love Woodblock Wednesdays.  There is a monthly challenge hosted by my friend Amy.  I'm excited my Woodblock Stamps are getting some Love.

On my card, I first stamped a retired Carousel woodblock stamp from Hero Arts on white cardstock with Versafine black Onyx ink.  I then embossed my image with Hero Arts Clear embossing powder using my heat tool.  I colored the carousel using my Ohulu markers.

I cut out my Carousel with a square die from Waffle Flower Crafts.  I then stamped and heat embossed my retired Hero Arts Happy Birthday Woodblock Stamp on colored cardstock.  I cut my sentiment using my paper trimmer.

I cut out some 12 x12 pattern paper to be A2 size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I also cut some blue 12 x 12 cardstock. I glued my papers to a pink A2 card base.  I glued some foam tape to the back of my carousel for gluing to my card.  My sentiment was glued to my card.  I added a a woodgrain bow and applied some white gel accents.  I hope you like my card.  I had fun making it.

Thank you for joining me on my blog today! 💖

Wall Decor For My Craft Room

Hello everyone.  I have a art decor piece for you today.  I used a New Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs February Release to create a wall canvas for my craft room and I love it.  It makes me smile.  Use VonFan10 to save 10% off your purchase at A Colorful Life Designs.

Let me tell you about my art piece.  I used a  8x10" white canvas that I bought my from local dollar store.  The New Stencil I used is called Layered Tulip Field.  So stencils are not just for cards or scrapbooking. You can create gifts too.  This stencil set includes 4 stencils.  I first painted my canvas with Sailing Sky Acrylic Paint using a large paint brush.  It's quite relaxing to paint.  I then layered my stencils and held them in place while I painted the blooms and leaves with white, yellow, Holiday Green, and Lime Green Acrylic Paints using smaller paint brushes.

Here it is hanging up in my Craft Room where I can look at it everyday.  I hope you like what I created.  Something other than a card.  I hope I inspired you to myke a wall piece.

Hi everyone.  I'm back with another Christmas card using BYSHC Sketch 42.  You still have time to participate in this months challenge.  Not 2 Shabby is our sponsor and there is a coupon down below.  Just enter your card to the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers FB group for a chance to win.  Challenge ends Feb 29th.

BYSHC Sketch 42

On my card I used some pattern paper from a Joanns Park lane Nice List 6x8 paper pad that I bought last year.  I chose to make my card simple letting my paper be the focal point.  Easy to mass produce and use your pattern paper for some quick Holiday cards.

I glued my papers according to the sketch to a A2 card base.  I glued a sentiment from Tim Holtz I like that it's like chipboard.  That finishes my card.  I can't wait to see your card.

Thank you for stopping by!
