Jagged Love

Hello everyone.  I'm back with another card using a New Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs New January Release.  Use VonFan10 to save 10% off your purchases.

I used the New Jagged Love Stencil.  It's really a pretty stencil.  I chose to use Black watercolor paper.  I painted through my stencil with Starry Colors paint from Gansai Tambi. I also ink blended a little Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink.

After my background was dry.  I cut it to be 4 x 5 1/4.  I then glued it to a matte gold paper that was A2 size.  I glued it to a white A2 card base.  I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment in gold embossing powder on black cardstock.  The sentiment is from a older STAMPtember Collab. with Pinkfresh Studio and Simon Says Stamp. It says "Some People Just Make Life Better" and that's you! I glued it with some foam tape to my card. Next,  I embellished with some Pinkfresh Studio Metallic Champagne pearls.  I hope you like my card.  I had so much fun making it.  A Colorful Life Designs now offers Card Bling, check it out here

Hello everyone.  Happy New Year.  I cannot believe we are in 2024 now.  BYSHC has a brand New sketch starting today and you have the whole month to participate which I hope you do.  This Sketch 41 is so much fun.

Sketch #41

So for my card using the sketch, I used red and white cardstock, and plaid pattern paper.  I cut my papers according to the sketch measurements.  I used a circle die and cut out some patter paper and white cardstock.

I used a candy cane die from Simon says Stamp that I cut out with red and white cardstock.  I glued everything to a A2 card base and added a sentiment from my stash.  I hope you like my card.  It was pretty easy.  I can't wait to see your cards using the New Sketch #41.  Just add your photos to the BYSHC FB group Album.

Woodblock Wednesday Thank You Card

Hello everyone.  I made a card for the Woodblock Wednesday Challenge hosted my my friend Amy Tsuruta.  I chose to make a Thank You card.  I'm going to choose to send more Thank You cards as one of my New Year Resolutions.

These are the two Hero Arts Woodblock Stamps I used for my card today.  I recently got the Architectural Wonders of the World Stamp on clearance at Joanns.  The Thank you stamp I may have had it for quite awhile as I can't remember where I got it.

I made a easy Thank you card.  I first cut out some white cardstock using a  A2 stitched rectangle die using Lawn Fawn.  I then ink blended my cardstock with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink and Broken China Distress Oxide ink. I asked my 12yr old daughter what other colors should I use? She said pink.  So I used Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink. I like these bright happy colors together.

Next, I stamped the big Woodblock stamp on white cardstock with black ink and cut it out with a circle die.  I then stamped the woodblock sentiment on white cardstock and fussy cut it out.  I glued my ink blended panel and stamped circle to a A2 card base.  I added a foam strip to the back of my sentiment before adding it to my card.  I used white liquid drops and that finishes my card. I had a lot of fun making it.  It was fun not coloring for this card.  I hope you grab your woodblock stamps and join Amy's challenge.

Birthday Deer Snow Globe Card

Hello everyone.  Have you recovered from Christmas?  I hope you had a wonderful Holiday. I actually had a relaxing Holiday and I did a little bit of crafting.  I had gotten Lawn Fawn's Build A Snow Globe die and Birthday Deer stamp for my Birthday and I was so excited to use them for a Birthday card today.

I think it's cute.  I first stamped the Birthday Deer and cupcake onto Neenah solar White 80lb. cardstock with Honey Bee Stamps Black ink.  I colored them in with my copic markers and then cut them out with the coordinating dies.  I then cut out my globe pieces out with white cardstock and my Spellbinders Platinum 6.  I cut out a snow drift, a tree, and bird.  I used my copics to color the tree and bird.  My globe was cut out 3 times.  I also cut out some acetate.  I ink blended my sky for my globe and globe base with Milled Lavender Distress Oxide ink.

Next, I glued my globe together with my acetate.  I chose to glue my snow drift and tree inside of my globe with glitter.  I used liquid glue.  On the outside of my globe, I glued my Birthday Deer, cupcake, and bird.  I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Deer stamp set.  I used the Simple Stripes Landscape Backdrop die for my background.  I ink blended a couple of strips with Milled lavender Distress Oxide ink.  I glued my globe and backdrop to a A2 Neenah sSolar White 110lb. card base.  I used some stars to add as embellishments.  I also used a glitter pen on my cupcake and bird.  I hope you like my Birthday Deer Card.

Christmas card using Kat Scrappiness.

Hello everyone. Christmas is almost here!!! I was able to fit in a last minute Christmas card yay using Kat Scrappiness.  I was so excited as this card was on my To-Do list.

Isn't it cute?  I love the Grinch.  I started off with stamping  and heat embossing this grinch image from Merry Grinchmas Stamp set onto Neenah Solar White cardstock.  I used clear embossing powder, Versafine ink, Embossing brush tool, and my heat tool.  I then colored with my copic markers.  I used the coordinating Merry Grinchmas die to cut my image out.  I used a white gel pen to add some details to my image.

Next, I cut out some pattern and glitter paper from Crafty Quokkas paper pack and the Christmas Glitter paper pack.  I used a A2 embossed edge rectangle die as well as a stitched fancy scalloped circle die.  I cut out another grinch image die-cut to layer for more depth. I glued everything to a green A2 card base using Bearly Art Glue.  I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment on black cardstock with white embossing powder and versamark ink.  I used the die to cut out my sentiment.  The dies are so great and I love that they cut out the sentiments.  I used the die to cut a layer to layer my sentiment onto.  Lastly, I embellished with this fun Merry Grinchmas Sprinkle Mix.  I hope you like my card, it was so much fun to make.  This Merry Grinchmas set is great to get you started on your Christmas Cards for next year. There is matching paper and a die set, so fun.  I plan to make some more Grinch cards.

I hope you have a fun Holiday and Crafty New Year.

Snowman Hot Cocoa

Hello everyone.  I cannot believe Christmas is around the corner.  I was hoping to get some more Christmas Crafting in before Christmas.  We will see... Anywhoo I have fun Holiday card that I made for the current Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge Coffee + Snowman #24.

I had so much fun making this card.  I had this cute Snowman Mug SVG file for awhile and I'm so glad I could use it for this Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge.  I first cut all my pieces from my Silhouette Design Library using my Silhouette Cameo 3 machine.  I used mostly, white, red, black, kraft, orange, and pink cardstock.  I did ink blend the kraft cardstock for the hands, coffee, and gingerbread with Ground Espresso Distress ink.

I glued my snowman Hot Cocoa together using liquid glue.  I used my white and black gel pens for accents and details. I also used a red copic marker for some shading. I used pattern paper from my stash I believe this one came from Joanns.  I love that it was double sided and that I liked both patterns for this card.  I cut my pieces using my paper trimmer.

I added some coarse white glitter to my marshmallows and candy cane and glued everything to a pink A2 card base.  I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment from Jaded Blossom White Christmas Stamp and then cut it to fit my card.  I didn't feel like I needed embellishments for this card.  I hope you like it.

Thank you for taking a look!
