Sympathy Cards For Woodblock Wednesday

Hello I have some Sympathy Cards today using some woodblock stamps from my stash for the Woodblock Wednesday Challenge.

Here are my Woodblock Stamps for my project today.  A Hero Arts Sentiment Stamp and others from Garage Sales

Here is the first card I made, I used Canson 140 pounds watercolor paper.  I first started stamping in Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink, Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink, Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink, and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink.  I would just stamp and spray with water directly on the stamp or I would spray my paper.  I had a lot of fun.  I did stamp the sentiment with Versafine Onyx ink in the center.
I cut my stamped background with a Lawn Fawn Large Mini Slimline Stackables die.  I added foam to the back layered it some Indigo colored cardstock and glued it to a card base.  I then embellished with some blue sequins.

Since I had some watercolor paper on my desk, I decided to make another card.  Stamping the same way except less water sprayed on my paper for a cleaner look.  I then cut this one out with a MFT Stamps rectangle die and layered it also on the same Indigo cardstock with foam tape and with sequins.

And here is another Look at my cards.  I had so much fun playing with these woodblock stamps and now I have 2 cards added to my stash. Thank you for taking a look! And Thank you Amy for this fun Challenge.

Cute Bump Baby Card for Woodblock Wednesday June 2024

Hello everyone.  I am so happy to share with you a card that I made super quickly for Woodblock Wednesday.  Technically I made this card for Wednesday but I will be sharing a couple days later which is today.  Thankful Amy keeps this challenge open for a few days after Wednesday.

Here are my woodblock stamps that I used for my Bump Baby card.  I first looked through all my woodblock stamps and found this group to use.  So fun. The happy pregnancy one is from Michaels and the baby footprints are from etsy quite a while ago.  The sentiment might have been from Michaels too.

Isn't it sweet?  It's been ages since I have made a Baby card.  In fact, I may have never made a bump card like this before. I started out with some white cardstock.  I stamped the Happy pregnancy woodblock with memento Tuxedo ink. I then cut it out with a scalloped tag die from Kat Scrappiness.  I  used  the 2nd to the smallest tag die.  Next, I put my tag aside.

I made my background using white cardstock and stamped just the bump image from the Happy Pregnancy woodblock all over on my cardstock.  The sentiment was far away on this stamp that I didn't even have to mask it.  So good!  I then stamped the Congratulations sentiment all over in open spaces.  I then forgot about the baby feet lol So it worked out that I could stamp it all over in Catherine Pooler Limoncello. Love that yellow ink and those footprints. I then cut out my background with a retired Spellbinders Essentials labels die using the largest die.

Next, I colored in the dress bump image with Yellow copic markers in Y02, Y06, Y13.  I found some yellow polkadot ribbon in my stash and tied a bow on my tag.  I glued my bow with liquid glue and then placed foam dots on the back of my tag.  I glued my background to a A2 card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and popped up my tag.  I chose no embellishments as i felt the bow was enough.  I placed a essentials label in white for the inside of my card.  When it is needed I will mail it or gift it with this yellow envelope.

I had so much fun making this card.  I now want to build my stash with this design I think it's so sweet and I'm so into yellow right now.  I hope I inspired you to grab your woodblock stamps or to make a  card like this one.

Happy Crafting!

Woodblock Wednesday for February 2024

Hello everyone. It's Woodblock Wednesday today.  I always love Woodblock Wednesdays.  There is a monthly challenge hosted by my friend Amy.  I'm excited my Woodblock Stamps are getting some Love.

On my card, I first stamped a retired Carousel woodblock stamp from Hero Arts on white cardstock with Versafine black Onyx ink.  I then embossed my image with Hero Arts Clear embossing powder using my heat tool.  I colored the carousel using my Ohulu markers.

I cut out my Carousel with a square die from Waffle Flower Crafts.  I then stamped and heat embossed my retired Hero Arts Happy Birthday Woodblock Stamp on colored cardstock.  I cut my sentiment using my paper trimmer.

I cut out some 12 x12 pattern paper to be A2 size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I also cut some blue 12 x 12 cardstock. I glued my papers to a pink A2 card base.  I glued some foam tape to the back of my carousel for gluing to my card.  My sentiment was glued to my card.  I added a a woodgrain bow and applied some white gel accents.  I hope you like my card.  I had fun making it.

Thank you for joining me on my blog today! 💖

Woodblock Wednesday Thank You Card

Hello everyone.  I made a card for the Woodblock Wednesday Challenge hosted my my friend Amy Tsuruta.  I chose to make a Thank You card.  I'm going to choose to send more Thank You cards as one of my New Year Resolutions.

These are the two Hero Arts Woodblock Stamps I used for my card today.  I recently got the Architectural Wonders of the World Stamp on clearance at Joanns.  The Thank you stamp I may have had it for quite awhile as I can't remember where I got it.

I made a easy Thank you card.  I first cut out some white cardstock using a  A2 stitched rectangle die using Lawn Fawn.  I then ink blended my cardstock with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink and Broken China Distress Oxide ink. I asked my 12yr old daughter what other colors should I use? She said pink.  So I used Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink. I like these bright happy colors together.

Next, I stamped the big Woodblock stamp on white cardstock with black ink and cut it out with a circle die.  I then stamped the woodblock sentiment on white cardstock and fussy cut it out.  I glued my ink blended panel and stamped circle to a A2 card base.  I added a foam strip to the back of my sentiment before adding it to my card.  I used white liquid drops and that finishes my card. I had a lot of fun making it.  It was fun not coloring for this card.  I hope you grab your woodblock stamps and join Amy's challenge.
Thank you for stopping by!

Woodblock Wednesday Elegant Woman and Dog

Hello everyone.  Today starts one of my favorite Challenges called Woodblock Wednesday hosted by my friend Amy Tsuruta.  I always enjoy participating in her Woodblock Stamp challenges. And my Woodblock Stamps get to get some love yay.

I recently picked up this Hero Arts Elegant Woman and Dog Woodblock Stamp from Joanns that was on clearance.  I think it's fabulous. I stamped my woodblock stamp with Brutus Monroe Raven Black ink on this natural colored cardstock.  I then colored it with my Copic Markers and a white colored pencil.  I cut my cardstock and put it to the side.

I cut some aqua polkadot pattern pape from my stashr for layering.  I felt like using a embossing folder so I chose Spellbinders Sketched Floral embossing folder from a previous club kit and ran it through my Spellbinders Platinum diecutting machine with a white A2 panel.  I then ink blended it with Peacock Feathers Distress ink.

Next, I used a circle paper pinch from Creative memories with black cardstock.  I stamped and heat embossed my Woodblock Sentiment from Hero Arts called Happy Birthday To You that I may have gotten last year from Joanns.  I used Hero Arts Unicorn white ink and white embossing powder.  I then glued everything to a A2 card base using my Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue.  I added some sequins to match and that finishes my Birthday card.  I hope you like it.  I hope you will join the challenge too, it's so much fun.

Halloween card using Woodblock Stamps

Hi everyone.  I made a card for Woodblock Wednesday hosted by my friend Amy Tsuruta  I decided to make a Halloween card.  Why not? Since I had been making lots of Christmas Cards and Halloween is Next Week.

I used woodblock stamps from Michaels and I have no idea when I got them, but they came in handy for this card challenge.  I began by ink blending some white cardstock with Villainous Potion Distress ink.  I then trimmed my cardstock to be smaller than A2 size 4 x 5.25.  I stamped and heat embossed the speech bubble woodblock stamp first on black cardstock with white ink and white embossing powder. I fussy cut the speech bubble simply. LOL I hate fussycutting now.   Next, I stamped and head embossed my ghost woodblock stamp 2 times on white cardstock with black ink and clear embossing powder.  I fussy cut my ghosts because I already had a sentiment speech bubble.

I grabbed some Halloween pattern paper and cut a strip for my card.  I glued everything with liquid glue on my A2 card base.  I then glued some Halloween sequins for fun.  I hope you like my card, it was fun to make.  I hope you get your Woodblock stamps out, you still have time to join the challenge.

Woodblock Wednesday Guest Designer

Hello everyone.  I hope you are doing well today.  I'm super excited to be guest designing for Woodblock Wednesday blog today hosted by my friend Amy Tsuruta.

Here is what I created:

I was one of the lucky winners from last months Woodblock Wednesday yay.  I won a giveaway Create your own Calendar Pages.  Thank you Amy.

So for January, I grabbed a Snowflake woodblock Stamp from my bin and stamped a bunch on the page in Lawn Fawn grape jelly ink.  For February, I grabbed this heart border woodblock stamp and stamped it in black ink. I was so afraid to mess up as there is 1 page per month.  I colored the heart border in with my Prismacolor Colored Pencils which was nice. I need to use those more often.  I ink blended around my heart border with some Stormy Sky Distress Oxide ink.

Next, for March I stamped a springish Bicycle woodblock stamp that has flowers I colored it in with colored pencils and ink blended some spring colors around it. Distress inks in Squeezed Lemonade Oxide ink, Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink, Lawn Fawn Grape Jelly, and Stormy Sky Distress Oxide ink. Lastly, it was April's turn. I used a bunny woodblock stamp and stamped it with black ink and again colored with my colored pencils. I took some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink and ink blended around my bunny. You can add sentiments. I did think about it, but I decided to keep it simple. That finishes off my 4 months for next year.  I now need to finish the rest of the months. Maybe 4 at a time? I hope you like them. I have had these woodblock stamps for a while except the snowflake one I got that one last year I think I bought it from Joanns.
Thank you so much Amy for my calendar.  I had a  lot of fun and Thank you for having me guest design.

Birthday Cards using Wood Block Stamps

Hi everyone.  I have some Birthday cards for Woodblock Wednesday hosted by my friend Amy Tsututa. You can link up your projects until Monday July 31 5am Pacific. I always enjoy this challenge.  I love woodblockstamps, any stamps, and Mailing Stamps too.

Woodblock Wednesday | Scrapper@heart

Here are 2 cards I created using 2 Woodblock stamps from my stash.  The background stamps is from Recollections and the Birthday cake is from Hampton Art.  I have had them in my stash for a long time so I was happy to use them for the first time.

This is the fist card I made.  I stamped the background stamp on white cardstock with Catherine Pooler Crushed Violet ink.  I cut my cardstock to the size of the background about 3 1/4 x 4 5/8. I ink blended some more Crushed Violet ink on the edge as there was some white  space showing.  I then layered it on black cardstock 4 x 5 1/4.  I then stamped the cake with Simon Says Stamp Bubblegum ink and fussy cut it out.  I found a die-cut in my stash and glued it to my card front before adding it to a A2 top folding card base.  I added my cake with foam tape and used a glitter pen for my word yasss with wite gel accents.  I also used my glitter pen to the flames on the candles.  Lastly, I added some iridescent sequins.

I decided to try again with these Woodblock stamps.  This time I inkblended my white cardstock with Simon says Stamp Bubblegum ink.  I stamped the background stamp with the Bubblegum ink and stamped over my ink blending.  I loved how it looked.  I then took some Peacock Feathers Distress ink and stamped the edges around my already stamped background.  I think it made a great background and probably would be good for gel press backgrounds.  I then flicked some Distress Oxide Spay in peacock Feathers and Distress Spray in Picket Fence. I love splatters on my backgrounds.  I then stamped my cake woodblock stamp with black ink and fussy cut it out.  I then cut my background out with a Scalloped rectangle die.  I ink blended the top with Peacock Feathers to blend in as more white space was showing.  I aded my cake with foam tape and placed some iridescent stars and liquid white drops for fun.  My panel was added to a A2 card base.  My cards aren't perfect but I had a blast making them.  And I always need Birthday Cards on hand.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!
