Happy Holidays And A Happy New Year

Hello everyone.  I'm back with a fun Holiday card for the Stay Crafty With A Blog Named Hero December Challenge Deck The Halls.  I loved using my Hero Arts products for this card.

I thought it was fun to get some of my Hero Hues inks out and use a New Stencil that I got for Christmas called Holiday Pattern.  I love that this stencil has birds, trees, candy canes and more.  On a creme colored paper 110 pounds I used Hero Hues inks in Cherry, Periwinkle, Splash, Spicy Mustard, Blue Hawaii, Green Apple, and Espresso. I also use a little bit of gray ink from a Charcoal ink cube. So much fun I love a Holiday background with these bright colors.

Next, I used a Rectangle die 2nd to the largest from the Infinity Nested Rectangle dies.  I then used a word die from the Christmas Holiday Stamp and Cut Set.  I cut out the word die 3 times with white paper 110 pounds.  I chose to use my small blending brushes to ink one of the die-cuts with the same inks used to match.  I then glued all my die-cuts together.

I also stamped and Heat embossed a sub sentiment on black paper 85 pounds with the Unicorn pigment ink and white embossing powder.  I then cut my sentiment using a paper trimmer.

I glued everything to a A2 top folding card base 110 pounds.  My sub sentiment was added with a foam strip and my Holiday Pattern background was added with foam,  My word sentiment was glued with liquid glue.  I chose not to used any embellishments on this card.  I love how it came out and you still have time to participate in this challenge.  I know most of us still have out Holiday crafts still on our desks.  Wishing you Happy Holidays and A Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone. I have a Christmas Card today using Hero Arts My Monthly Kit October 2023.  It's such a beautiful kit and it's still available.  Have you linked your Holiday Cards to the BYSHC Falling For The Holidays Linky Party? Friday is the last day and I don't want you to miss it.

Use this Graphic and Hashtag #fallingfortheholidays2023byshclp

I used Sponsors Lawn Fawn for the foiled snowflake pattern paper and Sponsor Bearly Art for the liquid glue on my project.

I first ink blended some white cardstock with Milled Lavender Distress Oxide ink and Broken China Distress Oxide ink.  I then used one of the dies from My Hero Monthly kit and ran it through my die-cutting machine.  I love the scene it created.  I then used a smaller scene die and ran it through my die-cutting machine. I glued both together and I ink blended the tree onthe smaller die-cut with Milled Lavender Distress Oxide ink.

I then used a piece of pattern paper from lawn fawn that they must have sent me with a order.  It's beautiful and I did hoard it for awhile.  I thought it was perfect for this card.I cut my pattern paper and glued it for my window.  I then glued my moon back in.  I think it's a moon LOL.  I glued my panel to a A2 card base.

I then ink blended some more white cardstock with the same inks and ran my word dies from the kit through my die-cutting machine.  I added some sequins and that finishes my card.  I hope you like it.  I will also be entering my card in the Stay Crafty With A Blog Named Hero October 2023 Challenge Holiday Celebrate.

Life is Beautiful

Hi everyone.  I recently received My Monthly Hero Kit for August.  I love the theme with landscapes.  So I made a card.

I first started out with Watercolor Cardstock from Taylored Expressions.  I chose to use my Tim Holtz Distress watercolor Pencils in Faded Jeans, Shaded Lilac, Salty Ocean, and Picked Raspberry from Sets 1 & 3.  I had fun coloring directly on the Cardstock and using color from my stamp block with water and a big paintbrush.  I then used Villainous Distress ink and ink blended over my watercolor.  I then applied some more watercolor pencils.  I cut my background to 4x 5 1/4.

I cut out the mountains using the die included in the kit with lavender Cardstock.  I then cut it down and glued it to my background.  I cut out my trees out using another die from the kit with black Cardstock.  I glued everything to a dark gray top folding heavy weight card base.

I then flicked some Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain with a paintbrush over my card.  I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment from the kit using white dye ink and WOW Bright White embossing powder on black Cardstock.  I cut my sentiment and adhered it to my card with foam strips.

I embellished my card using some enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs.  I hope you like my card.  I had a blast making it.  I also will be linking my card to the Anything Goes Challenge Stay Crafty With A Blog Named Hero.

Until Next Time, happy Crafting!

Flamingo Birthday Card.

Hi everyone.  I have a special Flamingo Birthday card I made for a Special Crafter friend's Birthday.  I hope she likes it.  I also thought it was a nice Summer Card so I will link it to the July 2023 Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero challenge Here Comes The Sun.

I chose to use My Monthly Hero kit from July 2022.  Can you believe I had never used it? Unfortunately it is sold out. I have more kits to use too. Can you relate?  Isn't this a cute stamp set with the layering Flamingos? I love Flamingos and in fact I just went to the Zoo with my family the last day of June.  And it was so HOT.  I wanted my flamingos to have black on their heads for some reason.  The ones I seen in person I believe were really light pink and I seen some even pinker ones in Las Vegas. I had fun using mostly Hero Hues Core cube inks in Cotton Candy and Azalea.  I used some off white heavy weight cardstock to layer them on as well as my Misti Stamping platform.  On the second layered image, I used Hero Arts Intense Black ink on their heads and I was going to use black on their feet too but I went with Cotton Candy.  I did ink up the wood 2 layer image in 2 different gray inks.  Lost Shadow Distress ink and Simon Says Stamp Fog Dye ink. I inked up some clouds and a dragonfly from the stamp set using Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink and Peacock Feathers Distress ink.

I cut out my flamingos and scene using my paper trimmer to about 4 x 5 1/4.  There is a coordinating die that I will try next time. I then glued my panel to a A2 card base.  I stamped and heat embossed my pun sentiment using white dye ink and Bright White embossing powder from WOW onto black cardstock.  I love Puny Sentiments they make me smile. I fussy cut out my sentiment to fit better on my card front and glued it with liquid glue.  I also added some sequins to match and a little bit of white gel accents.  I doid also ink a little around the edges with the brush I used for Peacock Feathers distress ink.

Do you ever stamp on the inside of your card? I usually don't but like I said this is a Special Birthday Card.  and she really is Flamazing!!

Here is 1 photo from our Zoo visit.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!
