Card Sketch For Inky Paws Challenge

Hello I'm so happy to participate in the Inky Paws Challenge 237 over on the Newtons's Nook Designs Blog.  I love challenges they are a great way to motivate you to use your stash and possibly pick a sketch or color combo you wouldn't necessary choose.

I thought I would use Newton's Bubble Tea Stamp for this challenge.  My inspiration was this Bubble Tea pattern paper I had in my stash that's 12 x 12 and from Michaels from a old paper pad.  I stamped and heat embossed Newton on watercolor paper Canson 140 pound with versafine black onyx ink and clear embossing powder.  I chose to use water color pencils like Derwent Intense and Prismacolor Premiere and a water brush.  It was a lot of fun.

I also cut out some gingham pattern paper and colored paper.  I cut Newton and drew a line to ground him on my paper with a gray water color pencil.  I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set.

Everything was glued to a A2 card base.  I think it came out cute.  I haven't had a tea like this for many years and I wasn't that fond of it.  I feel like I need to re-try one.  Let me know which flavor is your favorite.

I also will be entering my card in the Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Cute Cuddly Featuring Newton's Nook Designs and the Simon Says Stamp IG Challenge Watercolor.

A Halloween Card using Dress Up Doxies

Hello everyone.  I have a Halloween card to share for a Halloween card swap that I participated in.  I decided to use Newton's Nook Designs so that I could participate in the Halloween inky Paws Challenge 208.

I love these cute dogs so I had to use them for my card. This stamp set is called Dress Up Doxies. I first started out with my background.  I ink blended some white cardstock with seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink, Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink, and Black Soot Distress Oxide ink.  I then used the Flying Bats Stencil with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink.  I cut my background to a A2 size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I stamped my idogs and Halloween Buckets with Honey Nee Stamps Black ink onto Neenah Solar white cardstock and cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut.  I then colored them in with my Ohuhu and Copic Markers.

I then used some hill dies with a grayish colored cardstock.  I ink blended them with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to make them darker.  I glued my dogs and buckets on my panel and glued my panel to a A2 card base.  Next, stamped and heat embossed my sentiment and cut it to fit my card.  I added foam tape to the back and adhered it wonky on my card.  I added some sequins to match.  I hope you like my card.  It was so much fun to make.
