Sympathy Cards For Woodblock Wednesday

Hello I have some Sympathy Cards today using some woodblock stamps from my stash for the Woodblock Wednesday Challenge.

Here are my Woodblock Stamps for my project today.  A Hero Arts Sentiment Stamp and others from Garage Sales

Here is the first card I made, I used Canson 140 pounds watercolor paper.  I first started stamping in Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink, Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink, Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink, and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink.  I would just stamp and spray with water directly on the stamp or I would spray my paper.  I had a lot of fun.  I did stamp the sentiment with Versafine Onyx ink in the center.
I cut my stamped background with a Lawn Fawn Large Mini Slimline Stackables die.  I added foam to the back layered it some Indigo colored cardstock and glued it to a card base.  I then embellished with some blue sequins.

Since I had some watercolor paper on my desk, I decided to make another card.  Stamping the same way except less water sprayed on my paper for a cleaner look.  I then cut this one out with a MFT Stamps rectangle die and layered it also on the same Indigo cardstock with foam tape and with sequins.

And here is another Look at my cards.  I had so much fun playing with these woodblock stamps and now I have 2 cards added to my stash. Thank you for taking a look! And Thank you Amy for this fun Challenge.

Spring Fling Challenge For Lawn Fawnatics 191

Hello I'm excited to participate in a Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Spring Fling #191.  I used a lot of fun Lawn Fawn products for this card.

I thought it would be fun to used the Spring Critter Huggers Die Set.  I hadn't ever used this set and I purchased it when it was released. I know I have missed out.  I was so happy to use it yay.  I decided to make a brown bunny so I cut out the main outline bunny in brown paper 85 pounds.  I then cut out the cheeks, ears, tummy, and nose in pink paper 110 pounds.  Next, I cut out the mouth and eyes in black paper 110 pounds and later the feet in matching paper as the bunny.  The tail was cut out with white paper 110 pounds.

I used the die for the bunny whiskers and placed that die on my bunny and ran it through my die cutting machine.  I then glued everything to my bunny.  I wanted my bunny to hold something so I stamped some tulips from the Eggstra Special Easter stamp set with Memento tuxedo ink.  I colored them in with my OLO markers and Copic Markers. I then cut the tulips out with the coordinating dies.

I used the Scalloped Rectangle Stackables die to cut out some Flower Market pattern paper in the purple for my background.  I used some green paper 85 pounds with the Meadow Backdrop Landscape die to give me some grass for my bunny.  I cut out a bow from the Put A Bow On It die set using the smaller bow in pink paper.

I glued everything to a pink A2 110 pound card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I used a white gel pen for some accents on my bunny.  I also inked my bunny along the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink and a blending brush.

Here is the inside,  I masked my sentiment from the Celebrations Scripty Sentiments Stamp that I stamped with black ink on another scalloped rectangle stackable die that I cut out with white paper 110 pounds.  I hope you like my card I had so much fun making it.

Card Sketch For Inky Paws Challenge

Hello I'm so happy to participate in the Inky Paws Challenge 237 over on the Newtons's Nook Designs Blog.  I love challenges they are a great way to motivate you to use your stash and possibly pick a sketch or color combo you wouldn't necessary choose.

I thought I would use Newton's Bubble Tea Stamp for this challenge.  My inspiration was this Bubble Tea pattern paper I had in my stash that's 12 x 12 and from Michaels from a old paper pad.  I stamped and heat embossed Newton on watercolor paper Canson 140 pound with versafine black onyx ink and clear embossing powder.  I chose to use water color pencils like Derwent Intense and Prismacolor Premiere and a water brush.  It was a lot of fun.

I also cut out some gingham pattern paper and colored paper.  I cut Newton and drew a line to ground him on my paper with a gray water color pencil.  I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set.

Everything was glued to a A2 card base.  I think it came out cute.  I haven't had a tea like this for many years and I wasn't that fond of it.  I feel like I need to re-try one.  Let me know which flavor is your favorite.

I also will be entering my card in the Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Cute Cuddly Featuring Newton's Nook Designs and the Simon Says Stamp IG Challenge Watercolor.

I'm using a older retired stamp from 2017 from Stampendous fot my card today.  I first cut out a scalloped circle from Lawn Fawn using white paper 100 pound.  I stamped the cute mouse and flower with Memento Tuxedo ink  I then colored them in with my alcohol markers.

Next, I grabbed a small blue inked blending brush and used the residue ink to ink blend around my image.  I also stamped the hummigbird and colored it as well as fussy cut it out.  I also stamped a sentiment with Versafine Onyx ink on white paper 110 pound and cut it to be a fishtail banner.

I used the Just Stitching Circle dies from lawn Fawn and some Lawn Fawn Stripes 'n Sprinkles 6x6 pink dots pattern Paper cut to 4 x s 1/4.  I love the stitching from the just stitching circle die.  Next, it was time to put my card together.  I glued my pattern paper to a pink A2 card base and popped up my mouse and flower with foam strips.  I used 2 small round foam dots to pop up my hummingbird.  I used a gray marker to ground my mouse and also popped up my sentiment with foam tape.

The Greeting Farm February 2025 Challenge

Hello everyone.  I'm back to share a Valentine card I made.  I thought I would participate in The Greeting Farm February 2025 Challenge.  This challenge takes place in The Greeting Farm Fan Group on FB.

The Greeting Farm Rules:

I used a retired stamp called Love Couple from The Greeting Farm.  You may be able to ask for it at their next Farmers Market. I love this Anya and Ian.  So cute.  I stamped and heat embossed booth Anya, Ian, and the trio of hearts with Versafine black onyx ink and clear embossing powder.  I then colored them in with a mix of Copic Markers and OLO Markers.  I fussy cut my images leaving a white border.  Later, I embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set on red paper 65 pounds, I stamped and heat embossed with white ink and white embossing powder.  I also fussy cut out the sentiment.

On cream paper 110 pounds I ink blended the Scribbled Heart Stencil from Catherine Pooler using Poppy ink cube from Concord & 9th. I had to move my stencil over to ink more of the stencil for my slimline panel to have enough background for my card.  I used a Slimline die from My Creative Time to cut out my scribbled hearts background. I cut out a coordinating card base and glued everything to it.  I dip pop up my sentiment with foam tape and added some white gel pen accents. I did add some pink chalk to Anya and Ian's cheeks but it's very light. This card measures 7 3/8 x 3 1/2.  I had so much fun making this card.

Winter Card for Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers

Hello everyone.  Happy February.  I'm so excited for our New sketch for Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Card Sketch 54.  I love the different measurements on this one.

I have my first card for the New Sketch 54 using a Simon Says Stamp Card kit for January 2025.  I love this Yeti holding some Hot Cocoa and look at those yummy marshmallows.  I stamped and colored this yeti and hot cocoa with Memento black ink on Hammermill paper 100 pound from the Get Yeti stamp Set.  I used Ohulu markers and then used the coordinating die to cut the yeti out.  The die allows for him to hold things which was fun to stick the hot cocoa in his hands.  I fussy cut the hot cocoa and cut some pattern papers from the kit according to the sketch.  So fun.

I glued everything to a A2 gray card base.  I love my Yeti for the shape element on the sketch.  I stamped a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Warmest Wishes Stamp Set on red paper 65 pound with black ink.  I love how this card turned out.  I hope you'll join us.  Club Scrap is our Sponsor for this card sketch challenge.  This sketch will run for the whole month of February. It's fun to use those scraps you may have in your scrap bin on your desk.  Just upload your card in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers FB group.
