Wishing You Everything Happy

Hello everyone.  I hope you are great.  I have a card today for Woodblock Wednesday yay.  This challenge is hosted by my friend Amy and you can find more details about this challenge over on her blog here.

I used 2 Wood block Stamps on my card.  The mermaid I had bought at Hobby Lobby and the sentiment is a favorite from Michaels.  I chose to do a Mermaid card for Mermay.  So, I made my background first.  I started out with white 110 pound white paper and ink blended it with Hero Arts Spring Day ink using my large blending brushes. I used all of the 3 ink colors individually in th eorder of the ink pad.

I then used the Underwater Edger 2 stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use VonFan10 to save) using the same iHero Arts ink pad. The stencil has also the negative and I used both on this card.  Next, I cut out my background using a stitched rectangle A2 die using my Anna Griffith Empress machine.  I stamped the mermaid and wood block sentiment using black ink.  I cut out the sentiment using a smaller stitched rectangle die.

I colored in the mermaid using my alcohol markers and fussy cut it out.  I glued everything to a A2 card base and adhered my mermaid with foam tape.  I used a glitter pen and glittered my mermaid and added some sequin amd clay embellishments.  I hope you like my Mermaid card, it was so much fun.  I hope I inspired you to join the challenge.

Life is Short Spoil Your Dog

Hello everyone.  Happy Wednesday.  I have my last card sample for May for A Colorful Life Designs.  It's my favorite of the samples I made.  Use Code VonFan10 to save 10% off your purchases.

On this card, I used the New Dotted Lines 6x6 Stencil and the Frolicking Dog 6x9 Stencil.

I had so much fun making this card.  It's a layering stencil in one.  I started out using white 110 pound paper.  I used the Dotted Lines Stencil with Catherine Pooler Be Mine ink.  It's a really neat stencil, great for any occasion.

Next, I used yellow paper about 65 pounds.  I ink blended with inks Catherine Pooler samba, Catherine Pooler Grass Skirt, Catherine Pooler Suede Shoes, Catherine pooler Limoncello, Catherine Pooler be Mine, Distress ink Tea Dye, and Distress ink in Black Soot.  Then you have a dog frolicking with flowers, greenery, and butterflies.

I then cut my Dotted Lines Background to be smaller than A2 size.  I glued it to a A2 card base.  I cut out my Frolicking Dog background with a oval die.  I adhered my oval with foam tape to my card.  I added a sentiment strip from my stash by Taylored Expressions.  I love that saying as I have a spoiled dog.  I love the 2 stencils I used.  I hope you like my card.  I had a lot of fun making it.  Check out the Newest release here

Simple Notecard using 2 New Stencils from A Colorful Life Designs

Hello everyone.  I have a simple notecard today using 2 New Stencils from A Colorful Life Designs.  Use VonFan10 to save 10% off your purchases.  Have you enjoyed the cats and dogs stencils for this month?  I think it has been great.

On my notecard, I used the Chunky Chevron Stencil as well as the Me Plus Stencil.  On kraft 110 pound paper I used the Me Plus Stencil first.  I ink blended with Catherine Pooler Be Mine ink for the (ME) and Catherine Pooler All That Jazz ink for the heart.  I used Black Soot for the dog as I have a black spoiled Dog named Jules.  I used Gina K Designs for the white pigment ink.  I felt my background looked a little plain.  So I used the Chunky Chevron stencil and inked around the Me Plus ink blended area.

I then cut my background to be 4 x 51/4.  I glued it to a A2 heavy weight card base 110 pound and chose not to use embellishments for this card.  I hope you like it.  It was so much fun and you can customize the dog like I did for my doggy Jules. You can make some notecards for a friend or family member too.  Check out the New Release here

Kitty Notecard

Hello everyone.  I have a simple Notecard that is perfect for cat lovers.  I used 2 New Stencils from A Colorful Life Designs Newest Release.  I love the pet theme this month don't you?

On white cardstock, I used the New Fishbones Stencil with Catherine pooler Mardi Gras ink.  I then used the New Kitty Heart Face Stencil with Catherine Pooler Suede Shoes ink. I did try to apply Catherine Pooler Be Mine ink on the nose and ears, but you can't really see it as the blue ink is pretty dark.  Next, I then cut my white cardstock to be 4 x 51/4.

I glued my panel to a A2 side folding card base.  I then embellished with some pink card bling from A Colorful Life Designs.  I hope you like it.  You can batch these cards and give them away as a set.  I think that would be cute as a gift.  Visit A colorful Life Designs here Use VonFan10 to save 10% off your purchase.

On this card I used a previously Released stencil called Angel Puppy.  For the wings of this angel Puppy I used Catherine Pooler Skylight ink and for the puppy I used Lost Shadow Distress ink on white cardstock.  I also used Lost Shadow Distress ink with the Cloud Edger Stencil.  I cut my background to be 4 x 51/4.  I glued it to a A2 card base.  I grabbed another Taylored Expressions sentiment strip from my stash and applied it with a foam strip.  I added some glitter glue to the wings and that finishes this card.  I hope you liked both and know that even though these cards are difficult you can make some cards in no time using these stencils.  Check out the New Release here
